Over the years the projects involved school children from rural areas of Ukraine on the growing of open-field vegetables, later the schools from towns and cities got involved into the project Smart Garden.Microgreen. and this year with the support of RVO.nl the project grew to Smart Garden.Education. The project is focused on the development of entrepreneurial skills, basics of business, sales and marketing for teenagers 13-17 years old.
Last week the Agriteam #UAgroNL of the Embassy took part in Communication Training in Ternopil where project teams from 4 local schools took part. Agricultural Counsellor Carolien Spaans shared with participants her experience in intercultural communication, negotiation, cold and warm contacts, and business conduct. The questions from the participants were very mature and relevant: bilateral cooperation, economic support, EU integration.
The training courses are available also on-line for individual education.

The school teams also continue their Microgreen project. Children grow microgreens in hydroponics, organize the whole production, marketing, accounting and sales processes and provide 10% of the income for charity.
Lviv school is high in project performance ranking. They not only produce high-quality Super.Green.Lviv, but are very creative and active in marketing and communication. Inspired with their results the team has plans to scale up their production and look for investors and partners.
