Priva, Blue Radix strengthen their partnership

The demand for AI-driven and autonomous growth is increasing around the world. Greenhouse investors, owners and growers see the need for precise and predictable growing. And the need to cope with the increasing shortage of skilled and experienced growers becomes urgent. Through the combination of Priva and Blue Radix's solutions growers and greenhouse entrepreneurs could be able to bring their operational results to the next level and solve the challenge of the shortage of skilled growers.

AI-driven growing is fundamentally changing and enhancing horticulture. Collaboration in data solutions across the greenhouse ecosystem is essential to integrate insights, optimize resource use, and unlock new levels of efficiency and control. That's why the companies are combining and integrating functionalities and teaming up in commercial activities. This is laid down in a Multi-Year Agreement for Strategic Cooperation.

'New solutions are needed'
Since 2021 Priva and Blue Radix have been working together in unlocking these innovations for its joint customers. Hans Peters, CEO of Priva states: "As Priva, we've seen the need to go beyond current results and functionalities. Experienced growers know that last extra kilo is the hardest. Especially in an increasingly complex world, with fluctuating market prices, shifting weather patterns, rising energy costs and more stringent regulations. So, to go to that next level, new solutions are needed." Dirk Prins, Lead Business Development Manager at Priva adds: "By adding AI to our Priva process computers we've seen growers to be able to manage more hectares effectively while they also increase their financial results. The reduction of energy and water usage and increased yield go hand-in-hand. With Blue Radix's Crop Controller we can offer these advantages to all our customers."

Impactful mathematics
"With Crop Controller, we are adding impactful mathematics to daily greenhouse activities, such as Climate and Irrigation control. This way we help growers to achieve better quality, lower cost and improved yields without the stress of continuously tuning the climate computer," says Ronald Hoek, CEO of Blue Radix. "Algorithms can process so much data at a high frequency, continuously. With the robustness of Priva process computers and the Priva Connected subscription we make this available to every vegetable grower in our industry. We are running in about 100 greenhouses in 17 countries. In each greenhouse and for each grower it feels like its tailormade. More and more growers experience the value of Autonomous Climate and Irrigation Control, and others want to join, older and newer companies, bigger and smaller. It's relevant for all."

Unlocking new value
Hans Peters and Ronald Hoek agree growers and greenhouse entrepreneurs should always be able to choose the solutions that fit best, so both companies work independently with others. "We both believe in an open ecosystem that unlocks value for greenhouse companies," underlines Hans. At the same time, the market will recognize and experience the teamwork of both companies who are working side-by-side for their customers.
