The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has been presented with the 2024 Conviron and Argus Controls Green Leaf Award. Argus and Conviron's Account Manager for the University of Illinois, Spencer Brason, was on hand to present the award to Dr. Andrew Leakey, Professor of Plant Biology and Director of CABBI, and the research team at their new facility's official grand opening event on November 15, 2024.
CABBI is the Center for Advanced Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation, a U.S. Department of Energy-funded Bioenergy Research Center. CABBI is a collaboration between the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and 20 partner institutions.
The Green Leaf Award is presented to organizations that have undertaken significant technology expansions that will drive education and research in plant science and agricultural production. Conviron and Argus are delighted to have been chosen as the technology supplier for the greenhouse controls and the six plant growth rooms housed within the Plant Biology Innovation Greenhouse.
