Portable generators are convenient tools on the farm, but what if you could bring in portable power fueled by nuclear energy?
Nano Nuclear Energy's CEO, James Walker, said the company is exploring its options and hopes vertical farms could benefit from the technology, especially those in remote or rural locations
"We began some of our discussions with vertical farms companies to try and find the best fit, because the idea here is that when we build our prototype, we'll demonstrate that the prototype can power these vertical farms. The fortunate part is that the energy drawdown for a lot of these vertical farms is a dollar-significant amount of the total power of the micro-reactor. So, if it is a community of 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 people, we could still supply them power that could be used for industry, for medical facilities, but also a small section of that could be utilized, then for food," said Walker.
