UAE: MoU signed for investment in vertical farming

On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Le Méridien Conference Center in Dubai, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development and B-FARM for vertical Farming.

The memorandum was signed by H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of AAAID, and Mr. Paulo Bertero, General Manager of B-FARM for Vertical Farming.

The MoU aims to establish a general framework for cooperation between the two parties in areas related to their joint activities. It also seeks to collaborate on several aspects of mutual interest, such as exchanging expertise, providing technical support for investment opportunities, conducting research and development in vertical farming systems suitable for the Middle East and North Africa, and facilitating knowledge transfer through training, workshops, and seminars. Additionally, it includes exploring the feasibility of establishing a company in the Gulf region specialized in technical systems for farming in a controlled environment.
