US (MI): Concord High School students complete first hydroponic harvest

Students at Concord High School have completed their first harvest. The harvest is part of the high school's new class, simply titled 'hydroponics'.

"One of the things that we really focused on for our students is multifaceted, not only the science side of things but also the health or wellness side of things," says Concord High School Principal Jill Snyder. "So understanding and knowing where your food is coming from and how it impacts your body and, and what happens moving forward for yourself and what's just a whole component to our learning."

The Concord Community School District has installed four indoor farms: one at Concord Elementary and three at Concord High School.
