Vertical Future (VF), a UK-based Controlled-Environment-Agriculture (CEA) technology company, has announced a range of Crop-Science-as-a-Service (CSaaS) services for different sectors, including food, fodder, forestry, and pharmaceutical-based products.
The new offering will provide clients with a platform to conduct trials using VF's technology. The new offering provides tailored data and product services that optimize crop growth, drive innovation, and enable real-life tests for new products, the company said in a statement.
The expected benefits to users include the ability to create verified data and analysis using its cutting-edge technologies, supported by its leading PhD-level plant science team. CSaaS also acts as an accelerator for the latest innovations, leveraging cost efficiencies, outsourcing, and rapid trials by using rented high-tech space, before making a heavy capital investment, VF said.
Commenting on the new services, founder, and CEO of Vertical Future, Jamie Burrows, said: "We are delighted to announce our new Crop-Science-as-a-Service platform. At Vertical Future, we aim to offer solutions that will help tackle the effects of climate change and create a sustainable crop system, ensuring a healthy future for all.
"We believe in the potential of technology backed by quality science and research within the agricultural (and adjacent) sectors to meaningfully deliver on our shared goals. These new services allow our technologies, systems, data, and prior growing experiences to be enablers for others with similar beliefs and ambitions."
VF is a global CEA technology company, headquartered in London and founded in 2016.
