"The Revomax really stands out for its performance. It offers the smallest possible bandwidths in temperature (max. 0.4°C) and humidity fluctuations achievable in HVAC systems. This creates a stable climate, which maximizes growth results while keeping energy costs as low as possible. All of this is achievable within a temperature range of 3 to 36°C," says Rob Leek, Director of Air Supplies. Introducing us to the Revomax II, Rob explains that the climate control system features new Infinity DC (direct current) inverter technology.

How it works
Inverter technology in a climate control system refers to an advanced method of regulating the compressor motor's speed to continuously monitor temperature. Traditional systems switch the compressor on and off to maintain the desired temperature, resulting in larger temperature fluctuations and higher energy consumption. "In contrast, inverter technology adjusts the compressor's speed based on demand, allowing it to operate continuously and more efficiently," Rob explains.
When close to the desired temperature, the system reduces the compressor speed instead of completely shutting it off. "This results in lower energy consumption as the system doesn't need to frequently run at full power, nor does it waste energy restarting the compressor repeatedly." Moreover, this continuous operation ensures a more stable and comfortable indoor temperature without sharp fluctuations. This is particularly beneficial for vertical farms, where the sharp edges of climate fluctuations need to be eliminated.
"Inverter technology in a climate control system ensures more efficient and energy-saving operation, with the added benefit of maintaining a more consistent temperature."
