Georgian agriculture scientists receive hydroponics training from experts

A group of Israeli agro-experts held a two-day training on modern agricultural production issues. Many Georgian agriculture scientists as well as people associated with the Georgian agriculture sector attended the training session.

Yuval Elazar and Daniel Hadid experts from Mashavi Shvaim Agricultural Training Center in Israel conducted the two-day training. The employees of the Scientific Research Center of Agriculture, representatives of the Information and Consulting Center of the Rural Development Agency of Georgia, and farmers across the country attended.

On this occasion, the training session included both theoretical and practical parts. They also discussed the relevance of hydroponics which means agricultural production without soil.

The topics of hydroponics were discussed in detail. Experts also discussed its advantages and disadvantages during its practical use. At the same time, the participants of the training received detailed information about the technical characteristics and materials necessary for the arrangement and operation of hydroponic systems. The discussion also covered the conditions necessary for growing vegetable crops in these systems without the use of soil.
