North Wales Microgreen company wins Welsh Produce of the Year award

Based just outside of Abergele, Fresh and Tasty Microgreens, run by Steve Holland with the support of his wife Laura and their daughter Georgia, say they are delighted to announce its recognition as Welsh Produce of the Year at the prestigious Food Awards Wales 2024.

The company may have supplied food you have eaten locally, with the Wrexham deliveries to restaurants and home customers taking place every Friday.

The awards ceremony, held at The Coal Exchange Hotel in Cardiff on the 9th of September, celebrated the best of Welsh cuisine, acknowledging businesses and individuals who deliver the freshest and most innovative culinary experiences across the country.

Fresh and Tasty Microgreens received the honour for their dedication to growing the finest quality microgreens. Their friends, Donna and Chris from Micro Acres Wales, were also highly commended in the same category, highlighting the growing strength of Wales' microgreens community.

Steve Holland, owner of Fresh and Tasty Microgreens, expressed his gratitude, saying: "It has been an incredible honour. We're so proud and grateful to all of our amazing customers, family, friends, and followers —we wouldn't be here without their support."
