The Japan Plant Factory Association (JPFA) is pleased to announce the upcoming onsite training course on Plant Factories with Artificial Lighting (PFALs), to be held from October 7 to 9, 2024, at the JPFA site on Chiba University's Kashiwanoha Campus. This event will provide participants with a comprehensive and intensive learning experience, focusing on the latest advancements in PFALs and Japanese agricultural technology.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with pre-learning materials prior to the course. This includes ten lectures covering the elementary theory and practice of PFALs, essential cultivation and operational management knowledge, and insights into business success in the industry.

Additionally, two virtual tours will be available: a 60-minute tour of the data-driven 808 Factory, showcasing cutting-edge automation and technology, and a 20-minute tour of Obayashi Corporation's PFAL at the Kashiwanoha campus.
