CAN (QC): Dynamic Lighting main topic at Glase 2024 Summit

GLASE's 2024 in-person summit with a theme of Dynamic Lighting will be held on November 6, 2024 at the Hotel St. Paul in Montréal, Quebec in Canada. Researchers, academics, and industry professionals will share presentations and explore the CEA industry's latest challenges and emerging technology solutions.

GLASE members are invited to participate in greenhouse tours and a member meeting on November 7, 2024.

Tessa Pocock will be one of the keynote speakers at the summit.

Tessa Pocock Ph.D. is the Chief Science Officer at Soli Organic, the largest organic herb producers and distributors in the U.S.A. At Soli, she is defining their scientific and research strategies with the goal of moving our growing systems and technology into the future. Tessa's Summit keynote presentation is titled "Light: Nature versus Nurture in Plants" and will cover dynamic lighting in nature and the greenhouse, circadian rhythms, and sole source lighting.

Tessa has been working in horticulture for over 40 years and has practical, business and academic experience in CEA. She joined Soli three years ago from her position as Director of Light Optimization at Plenty where she worked closely with engineers and growers to develop crop growth and screening protocols, light recipes and biological sensors. Her overall goal at Soli Organic is to translate fundamental plant science into practical applications and solutions. Tessa is originally from Canada and has lived and worked in Sweden and the U.S.A. and thus has had the opportunity to work with and experience CEA systems worldwide
