Chad Hutton is an Air Force veteran who never had a green thumb growing up. Over the years that has changed and he now grows microgreens for some of your favorite restaurants in the area and is looking to expand his business Buckeye Grove Greens.
Microgreens are nutrient-rich foods that have a variety of health benefits and can be quickly grown and added to existing dishes to add antioxidants and flavor.
"You get more for less with microgreens," said Hutton. He was introduced to the idea of community gardens and microgreen stores when he lived in Denver after coming back to America from deployment.
It was here that he was inspired to start growing his own food and learn about different techniques. Eventually, he would bring those techniques to his hometown of Chillicothe with his business.
