US: ACT to host an event on rebate opportunities for Michigan growers

ACT group members—Philips Horticulture LED Solutions, Priva, and Svensson—are inviting Michigan greenhouse growers to an educational event titled "Efficient Harvests: Unlocking Energy Rebate Opportunities for Michigan Growers." This workshop aims to educate growers on regional rebates and incentive programs that support energy-efficient purchases in their greenhouses.

The event will feature a panel of speakers from Consumers Energy and DTE, to discuss state gas and electric programs and Gretchen Schimelpfenig, PE from ERI Resources and GLASE Consortium, who will discuss the federal USDA REAP program. Each speaker will detail their incentive programs, including key deadlines, the application process, funding amounts, and success stories.

In addition, the workshop will include an interactive session where growers can discuss their challenges with crop specialists from Priva, Philips Horticulture LED Solutions, and Svensson. This session aims to foster connections between growers, rebate providers, and ACT experts, facilitating collaborative solutions for industry challenges related to energy conservation and growing in Michigan.

Svensson annually publishes a rebate and incentive guide for greenhouse growers in the United States and Canada. These guides provide detailed information on available programs and how growers can use these funding opportunities to enhance greenhouse efficiency and profitability. Access your regional guide here.

The event will take place at New Holland Brewing in Grand Rapids on August 14, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Following the program, there will be a networking happy hour from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with complimentary food and beverages provided by the ACT Group. Registration is required and seating is limited. Please register by August 1, 2024, to secure your spot.
