Todd Phillips, President of P.L. Light Sytems:

“The BalensBeam was engineered to deliver seamlessly uniform light distribution"

Following the introduction of their ParFX™ Ultra and TriPlane™ Linear luminaires, P.L. Light Systems is further expanding their LED product portfolio.

Engineered to deliver optimal light intensity and uniformity in both the horizontal and vertical planes, the ParFX BalensBeam is a lighting solution for tall (high-wire) crops and/or applications where mounting heights are limited.

The linear form factor of the BalensBeam is designed to fit snugly beneath the track/truss for minimal shadowing on the crop, while delivering a light output of ≤ 830 μmol/s and an efficacy of ≤ 3.6 μmol/J. The BalensBeam is currently available in three spectral recipes: R90:W5:B5 / R79:W8:B5:FR8 / R95:B5.

"The BalensBeam was engineered to deliver seamlessly uniform light distribution across, and deep within, the crop canopy." explains Todd Phillips, President of P.L. Light Sytems. "The luminaires are designed to snap together through a simple, but highly secure, mechanical connection to produce continuous, uninterrupted light distribution across the full length of the installation—without any risk of the luminaires bowing at the connection points."

"The luminaire's simple plug-and-play installation reduces wiring and installation costs; while its highly secure Power Line Communication (PLC) dimming protocol delivers futher efficiencies. The luminaire's robust, quality construction will ensure years of reliable operation within CEA environments."

"With an ultra-high light output of up to 4217 μmol/s, the new dual-channel ParFXTM Ultra Max model delivers a balance of power and precision. The two channels (channel 1: R90:W5:B5 /channel 2: FR8) can be wirelessly controlled—either independently or simultaneously—enabling growers to apply far-red light as needed for the applicable crops and/or growth stages."

The full ParFX Ultra product range is now also available with a new 150° Ultra-Wide lens option, in addition to the original 125° Standard Wide lens. Depending on the application, each of these lenses will deliver optimized distribution and uniformity to allow for wider row spacing, enabling growers to achieve their target light levels and consistent crop growth—with fewer luminaires, P.L. Light systems states.
