"The GTC 360° Advisors team had the pleasure of attending the inaugural Coalition for Food Security (CFS) Summit as a key partner and a member of CFS. The Summit brought together local farmers to recruit CFS farmers and educate minority-owned landowners and underserved farmers in Georgia.
Participants listened to presentations from the USDA on the Climate Smart Commodities grant program and from Ponix, and FoodChain Technologies, Inc on how CFS is working with underserved farmers. We also had an opportunity to tour Ponix's pilot indoor farm. Local farmers heard from CFS's inaugural farmers on their experience with Ponix's innovative hydroponic vertical farms and the positive impact of the CFS program.
As part of the grant implementation, GTC 360° Advisors serves as a project partner on the USDA grant. Our team is developing a baseline of climate-smart practices and resulting GHG reductions. We will manage the development and approval of a first-ever carbon reduction methodology for indoor hydroponic farming with an established carbon registry to generate and trade carbon credits across CFS and beyond," shared the GTC 360 team.
