Salling Group acquires portfolio of 35 stores from Coop Denmark
Salling Group has acquired a tranche of 35 stores, including 25 365discount stores, three Kvickly outlets, five SuperBrugsen stores and two projects that have not yet been realised, from Coop Denmark. The deal is awaiting competition approval, following which Salling Group intends to host a 'welcome day' for employees of the Coop stores, it said in a statement.

Danish competition authorities have approved the new ownership agreement between Coop amba and OK for Coop Danmark. Croatia's Studenac, which has risen to become the country's largest by store count through a series of acquisitions in recent years, has announced plans to acquire Decentia, a Zagreb-based retailer.
