Bloemteknik has started a collaboration with Soli Organic. Bloem's customizable lighting is vital to realizing the scientific advancements of Soli Organic's newest indoor farm, which encompasses 140,000 square feet in San Antonio, Texas.
With the integration of Bloem's Align Platform, lighting performance has been tailored to meet the equipment design and operational requirements in Soli Organic's San Antonio facility.
"We are delighted to collaborate with Soli Organic on this ground-breaking indoor farm in San Antonio," commented Charlie Benson, Co-Founder and CTO of Bloem. "Align is designed to be mechanically and electrically adaptable to the unique objectives and requirements of growers – this has enabled us to customize every aspect of the platform to Soli Organic's specific application."
Tessa Pocock, Chief Science Officer of Soli Organic, added, "Light optimization is crucial for boosting growth across our range of leafy greens and herbs. Our collaboration with Bloem and their Align Platform, coupled with our industry-leading research, has led to unparalleled improvements in yield, quality and consistency."
The Bloem Align Platform offers several benefits, according to the company. It provides customized spectra to meet Soli Organic's light recipe needs and tailored PPFD to align with Soli Organic's cultivation strategy. The fixture dimensions and system configuration are customized to fit Soli Organic's infrastructure. Bespoke optics are included for optimal intensity and spectral uniformity within the headspace. Additionally, it features a customized plug-and-play mounting solution to accelerate installation and facilitate on-site maintenance.
The San Antonio project is setting a benchmark for vertical farming to emulate, underscoring Soli Organic's commitment to reshaping the indoor farming industry for sustained success.
"Soli Organic's San Antonio facility uses proprietary equipment and practices, refined through extensive research and experience in organic cultivation, positioning it at the forefront of indoor agriculture," said Matt Ryan, CEO of Soli Organic. "We're partnering with Bloem for its customized solutions that account for the intricate relationship between light and plant growth and help achieve our objectives for yield, quality, operational efficiency, and facility economics.
