Grobrix and Green City Growers have partnered to expand their farming footprint in North America, allowing both companies to leverage expertise and joint expansion efforts. Marking Grobrix's entry into the North American market through a distributorship arrangement. For Green City Growers the partnership secures its first strategic partner in Asia.
"My team and I are thrilled to partner with Green City Growers as they bring invaluable insights into clients' needs to the table. This represents a great opportunity for us to introduce our unique, tech- and community-driven solutions to an existing network in North America and through hands-on education and advocacy," shares Mathew Howe, Founder of Grobrix, a Singapore-based company that's focusing on home-growing farming systems.
"We are delighted to welcome Grobrix's innovative urban farming solution to our portfolio. We have traveled the world to find the best of the best, the most ingenious, and elegant urban farming expansions to add to the services we offer to our clients and partners. And we have found it in Grobrix. Grobrix has brought its sustainable way of growing and eating food to many urban communities in Singapore and Malaysia, and we are certain that our US-based customers will be thrilled to add it to their urban farming options," Christopher Grallert, President of Green City Growers shares.

Lim Seow Hui, Director, Americas, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) shared, "We are pleased to support Grobrix in bringing their innovative solutions to meet the rising urban farming demand in the hypercompetitive US market. This expansion will enable the company to scale and offer its innovative products to markets globally. EnterpriseSG continues to assist Singapore companies in navigating market conditions and establishing partnerships in the US."
On-the-ground expertise for Grobrix
To support the launch into the US market, Grobrix will be hiring someone on the ground in Boston. "This will allow us to work alongside the talented Green City Growers team and their customers, and pave the way for future collaboration across the US," Mathew adds.
Lowering the financing barrier
"With our leasing option, the Grobrix offering doesn't require a large investment to start farming and the modular nature of the product means that customers can start small and expand their footprint as their appetite grows. As a farming company, we only operate with a full service, providing service to customers both in person on the ground and via our software services, making sure everything is taken care of."
Mathew points out that larger farming setups are typically a pure production play. "Whereas the Grobrix value proposition is also about promoting community, employee engagement and returns to office, whilst at the same time supporting wellness and sustainability initiatives. The fresh produce we grow is a benefit that comes with the farm-to-table experience."
