Maldives: Hydroponic farming introduced in B. Kihaadhoo under BML Small Grants

The greenhouse and hydroponics project in Kihaadhoo island of Baa atoll has been completed under the Bank of Maldives (BML) 'Small Grants Fund'. The announcement was made by the country's national bank in a publication on Wednesday.
BML revealed that the project was carried out by the local NGO Kihaadhoo Development Society (KIDS).

It was funded under the bank's 'Small Grants Fund'. As part of the project, four hydroponics systems were established with 180 slots in each system to grow more than 700 plants at once.

BML revealed that the revenue generated from the project will be utilized for the activities carried out by the NGO.
