Welcome to day 2 of the Fruit Logistica, the fresh produce trade show currently taking place in Berlin. Today is traditionally the busiest day of the event, and this year seems to be no different. We’ve spotted growers from all over the world: Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Korea, Morocco, you name it.
In comparison to last year, we've seen a lot of vertical farming companies enter the stage. This is perhaps because retailers might see a growing need to partner with vertical farms. Given that Fruit Logistica has a big reach when it comes to retail and logistics companies, we're expecting vertical farming to get a bigger presence on the show. So, we're excited to see what's next. For now, we've heard positive sounds from the people we've met with at the show. But more on that tomorrow!
