Freshbay has approved the engineered stamped Atlantis greenhouse, including the installation of 17,530 complete functional patented vertical growing towers, to grow up to 8.2 million pounds of high-quality strawberries under the Affinoria Fragaria brand. As previously announced, the company has entered into an agriculture technology agreement with Freshbay, pursuant to which Freshbay has engaged the company to provide certain products and services for use at Freshbay’s geothermal agricultural site located in Hinton, Alta.
BriteSpan, Affinor’s exclusive partner in the greenhouse sales and development space, has built a large prototype greenhouse made of hot dip galvanized steel with the proposed polycarbonate skin for structural engineering purposes. The high-quality design will be able to withstand the harsh weather conditions of the Alberta project site. Affinor looks forward to beginning the sales and buildouts of these extremely tough greenhouses for clients all over North America throughout 2024.
Nick Brusatore: “I look forward to beginning to sell this new greenhouse structure early in 2024 and continuing our relationship with Freshbay. Once Freshbay achieves an agreement with an equity partner or partners, I believe it will positively impact Western Canada’s strawberry industry.”
