The Japan Plant Factory Association (JPFA) will hold the onsite Interactive Business-Focused Training Course on plant factories with artificial lighting (PFALs) at the JPFA site on Chiba University Kashiwanoha Campus on September 6 and 7, following the JPFA International Symposium on Plant Factories.
The coming course will be a chance to learn how to run a successful commercial PFAL, with pre-learning videos, a one-day excursion to two large-scale commercial plant factories, and comprehensive and interactive sessions on PFAL-related technology and business in person at Kashiwanoha.
Pre-learning includes:
- A lecture on the case study of 808 Factory, a large-scale PFAL in Japan, features data-driven operation, hygiene management, improving resource use efficiency, and more.
- A 60-minute virtual tour of the 808 Factory, where you can see the real data-driven facilities and management points, besides automation and other technologies.
- A lecture on business administration for PFALs, where you will learn how to simulate cultivation, manage costs and revenues, and optimize your operations, with a worksheet to know about your situation.
While onsite training on Sept. 6-7, you can have a chance to ask questions and discuss face-to-face with the plant factory operators with rich experience and other experts and meet and network with other PFAL enthusiasts and professionals from various backgrounds.
