New indoor and vertical farming harvester

At GreenTech Amsterdam, you could see the bHarvest at TTA's stand. This new Dutch-made harvesting machine for indoor and vertical farming uses dual blades, which only touch each plant once. That is important, Renko Schuil emphasized at the trade show, because it keeps damage to a minimum. "That, in turn, guarantees a longer shelf life for the harvested products," he says.

Indoor farming has been the fastest-growing TTA division for some time. Renko has been Business Developer: Indoor Farming there since last year. "The most efficient way to automate is bringing the product to where the action is," he stated at the time.

Introducing the bHarvest fits in with that. It comprises multiple in and outfeed conveyor belts, including a cutting unit for product handling. A blade replacement system contributes to clean operation.

You can assess the machine from its side, and it features a data-controlled panel for operation and making adjustments. Combining the bHarvest with a control or belt scale facilitates all product handling.
