"Our Diageo Singapore Office just got a little greener. In celebration of World Environment Day, the Green Team organized an Urban Farming workshop session to help unravel the mysteries behind unlocking your green thumb," shares Ser Kiat Eng, Head of Supply at Diageo, a beverage manufacturing company.
Diageo's APAC President, John O'Keeffe, commissioned the 'Edible Garden' 3-tier hydroponics system by planting the first seedling. "Here is to inspiring more future green fingers to tackle food loss at the root."

Continuing the theme of using food as an avenue for Diageo to make a positive impact on its environment. The company introduced a variety of plant-based proteins for lunch. Ser finds it amazing how much technology has progressed in this field. "Most of the team did not even realize that our lunch was meat-free."
The Green Team that made the event possible were Brenda Goh, Brieanne Heng, Samantha Ng, Ruben Mourino Ramos, Tammy Tan, Swathi Venkatasamy. During the event, Urban Green Dot co-founders Ryota Wong and Brandon Yeo were speaking to elaborate on the system and its benefits.
