US (NY): Indoor AgTech kicks off in New York

Communicating the value and strength of CEA that’s what is being discussed at the Indoor AgTech in New York. Over 500 delegates touched down at JFK to participate in this year’s edition, which is being held in Uptown instead of in Brooklyn like the years before.

This year, we’ve seen a strong presence of greenhouse suppliers and growers on the exhibitor floor, whereas, in the past editions, there were slightly more vertical farming companies. Yet, that didn’t slow down the industry to speak of the many opportunities to reap thus far in vertical farming.

Coming from all over the world, indoor farmers have shared their experiences on the current ‘pressure points’ they’re experiencing, whether based in New York, Kuala Lumpur, or London. Not alone the challenges but also the opportunities ahead are highlighted since most outsiders are the ones that don’t seen those golden mountains yet.

Let’s give you a sneak peek of who we’ve spotted at the event thus far.

Ard Flier and Ad Kranendonk with Flier Systems were rather content with Eduard de Haan (Jasa Packaging) about the turnout of the show.

Giuseppe Battagliola, Allesandro Oliveri, and Nicole Vaste with igrox were highlighting their latest partnership with Kilometre Verde, a vertical farming company in Italy.
