Brussels urban farms Peas & Love are bankrupt

Peas & Love‘s rooftop farms in Uccle and Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe have been declared bankrupt. However, the Brussels pioneer of urban agriculture still remains active in Paris.

High ambitions
Peas & Love started in 2015 with two urban farms in Brussels, including one on the roof of outlet store Cameleon in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. Neighbors could rent a plot there with some 70 varieties of organic vegetables, fruit, and herbs. They did not have to grow them themselves: a professional gardener did that. Tenants only had to come and harvest their produce – about 30 kilos a year.
