Tomato+'s fully automated hydroponic systems are making their debut at Fruit Logistica 2023 (Hall 3.1, Stand A-42). From February 8th to 10th, visitors to the international trade fair for fruit and vegetables will, for the first time, be able to see Tomato+'s solutions for the pesticide-free, all-weather cultivation of herbs, vegetables, and mushrooms with a water saving of 90% compared to conventional methods.
The focus of the Tomato+ stand is Horto Professional, the vertical farming system for professional farming. Horto Professional takes up the space of a container and only requires a connection to the water and electricity network. And that's exactly why Tomato+ will bring to the show an 11-meter-long container that can be viewed in its entirety to learn more about how it works and the innovations that make this product unique on the market.
All technologies used for Horto Professional have been developed and patented by Tomato+. All of the components of the highly automated greenhouse are ready for series production and can be tailored to customer requirements. Furthermore, the pad system and the artificial intelligence that regulates the production cycles ensure simple crop management that allows remote service and does not require a professional.
"Fruit Logistica is an excellent opportunity to present Horto Professional to international growers and retailers," explains Daniele Rossi, CEO of Tomato+. "Our solution is particularly interesting for countries in hot and cold climate zones. Since cultivation is not dependent on the weather, the system can make a significant contribution to reducing times and distances between production and consumption in these areas."
The company's stand at Fruit Logistica will also feature the Horto2 and Horto4 greenhouses, designed as indoor products in two different sizes for confined spaces and catering. Tomato+ solutions for vertical farming are not only present in the exhibition hall dedicated to technology and innovation but they have also been included in the online Spotlight area of Fruit Logistica, which puts the exhibitors' latest innovations in the spotlight for the press moves.
