CHAP announces the appointment of Business Development Manager Dr. Geoff Elliott.
In his new role, Dr. Elliott will develop relationships across the industry to help deliver innovative projects utilizing CHAP’s expertise and world-class research facilities.
Experienced in agricultural and environmental research, technology transfer, commercialization, and law, his most recent position was Project Development Manager for Ceres Agri-Tech Knowledge Exchange Partnership.
Cambridge-based Dr. Elliott said: “I’m really pleased to be joining the team at CHAP, and I look forward to helping bring the latest in innovative agricultural research and cutting-edge facilities to both current and future collaborators.”
Dr. Elliott’s career also includes six years at the James Hutton Institute as a Senior Scientist and various roles at Cambridge Enterprise in the technology transfer team. He has held international postdoctoral positions, leading research projects on nitrogen fixation, environmental gene transfer, and agricultural dust pollution. His Ph.D. explored mercury resistance diversity in soil microorganisms. In 2015 Dr. Elliott also gained a Graduate Diploma in Law.
As Business Development Manager, Dr. Elliott joins CHAP’s commercial team, led by Commercial Director Linsey Cresswell.
Ms. Cresswell said: “We’re delighted to have Geoff join the team. His skills greatly complement those we already have in-house and will assist with wider reach and building further networks, collaborations, and consortiums to accelerate innovation in the sector.”
CHAP has also recently welcomed Project Coordinator Dr. Edmond Ndam to the operations team. Dr. Ndam’s former role was Research Engineer for Northumbrian Water, where he helped to develop and optimize new treatment options and nutrient recovery within anaerobic digestion.
