Actress becomes millennial farmer for organic indoor farm

Indian actress Samantha Akkineni had been showing her entrepreneurial side ever since the lockdown began. Her strong penchant for farming has now turned into a profession. She kept promoting the idea of using micro-farming and hydroponics for growing vegetables to her fans on Instagram.

For this purpose, earlier she interviewed few people to shed light on a sustainable and safe organic method of growing varieties of veggies. In her quest, she stumbled across the futuristic idea of Urban Kissan.

In recent times, cities have been facing a big challenge in uprooting the level of hazardous chemicals used in vegetables besides the increasing requirement of water to grow them. The problem has immeasurably rose over the years. Urban Kissan unlike vertical farming, uses the sustainable recycling model of minimal water (hydroponic planting) to grow varieties of vegetables without using soil and harmful chemicals.

Now as per the recent reports Sam became an investor and chief Millenial farmer for the organic farming firm ‘Urban Kissan’. The firm that has its services in Bangalore and Hyderabad announced grandly about her entry into farming.
